Fly, Build, Play & Celebrate! New Year Concert and Toy Drive
飞翔、建造、玩乐与庆祝！新年音乐会暨玩具捐赠活动

On January 10th, Beibei Childrens Rehabilitation Centre organised an excellent New Year Concert and Toy Drive. The event was coordinated by the Deputy Manager of Beibei, Ms. Pan Xiao-ling and supported by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Hangzhou. Our club’s participation was coordinated by President Alex and Secretary Cindy. The activity aimed to support children and families by fostering a festive New Year atmosphere while encouraging generosity, participation, and community connection
1月10日，北碚儿童康复中心举办了一场精彩的新年音乐会暨玩具募捐活动。此次活动由北碚儿童康复中心副主任潘晓玲女士协调组织，杭州扶轮社志愿者也积极参与其中。我社的参与由社长Alex和秘书Cindy负责协调。活动旨在营造喜庆的新年氛围，同时鼓励慷慨奉献、积极参与和社区互助，以此支持儿童及其家庭。
 
The event commenced at 13:30 with participant registration. Children arrived with their families, received activity cards, and were introduced to the scheduled program. At 13:35, the New Year Concert officially began. Performances by participating children and by Mr. Lin Hai-Song, founder of Beibei, contributed to a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere, setting a positive tone and encouraging engagement from both children and parents throughout the afternoon
活动于13:30正式开始签到，孩子们在家人的陪同下入场，领取活动卡并了解当日流程。13:35，新年音乐会正式拉开序幕。孩子们及北碚创始人林海松先生带来的表演营造了温馨而喜庆的氛围，为整个下午奠定了积极、愉快的基调，并吸引了家长与儿童的共同参与
 
Following the concert, children participated in a structured activity area consisting of several interactive stations, each supported by Rotary and community volunteers. These included “Fly, Fly, Fly,” where children designed and decorated paper airplanes; “Happy Building,” which promoted teamwork and creativity through block construction; and a basketball shooting activity designed to support coordination, confidence, and physical engagement
音乐会结束后，孩子们参与了由多个互动游戏站点组成的活动区域，各站点均由扶轮社及社区志愿者提供支持。活动内容包括“飞呀飞呀飞”纸飞机创作、“快乐建造”积木搭建团队合作活动，以及篮球投篮项目，帮助孩子们在轻松的环境中锻炼协调能力与自信心
 
Creative activities continued at the “Doodle and Draw” station, where children used pencils and crayons to freely colour and decorate drawings. At the “Music Party” station, children learned and performed simple nursery rhymes with guided movements, contributing to an inclusive and engaging environment filled with music and laughter
创意活动在“涂鸦与绘画”站点中继续展开，孩子们使用铅笔和彩色蜡笔自由创作。在“音乐派对”站点，孩子们学习并演唱儿歌，配合简单动作，现场充满了音乐与欢笑，营造了轻松友好的参与氛围
 
Throughout the activity stations, volunteers worked closely with children and families to provide encouragement and support. At the creative colouring station, volunteers Max and Elena observed children express themselves through more than forty unique artworks. The activity supported focus, patience, and creativity, while volunteers offered guidance when needed, reinforcing an atmosphere of care, inclusion, and shared participation
在各个活动站点中，志愿者与孩子及其家庭密切合作，提供引导与支持。在创意涂色站，志愿者 Max 与 Elena 见证了孩子们创作出四十余幅各具特色的作品。该活动帮助孩子们培养专注力与创造力，志愿者在需要时给予协助，进一步营造了关爱、包容与合作的环境
 
Volunteer engagement was a key element of the event. Nadezda shared that participating in an activity focused on children was a meaningful and rewarding experience. Observing the children’s positive responses reinforced the value of community service and strengthened motivation to continue supporting youth-focused initiatives
志愿者的积极参与是本次活动的重要组成部分。Nadezda 表示，参与以儿童为核心的活动让她深感意义非凡。看到孩子们积极投入、快乐参与，进一步增强了她对社区服务价值的认同，也激励她持续支持青少年相关项目
 
Reflecting on the event, Skye noted that witnessing the children’s enthusiasm and happiness affirmed the importance of the collective effort. These moments highlighted the purpose of the activity and reinforced shared hopes for the healthy and confident development of every child involved
回顾整个活动，Skye 表示，看到孩子们的热情与笑容，让所有努力都显得十分值得。这些瞬间进一步彰显了活动的意义，也寄托了对每一位孩子健康、自信成长的美好期望
 
The toy drive was a central component of the event and reflected Rotary’s values of compassion and service. Children who completed the activity stations received small gifts, while donated toys were collected for distribution to children in need. Rotary’s contribution of materials—including basketballs, colouring supplies, and musical instruments—supported the effective implementation of all activity stations
玩具捐赠是本次活动的重要组成部分，充分体现了扶轮社关怀与服务的核心价值。完成活动站点的孩子获得了小礼物，而捐赠的玩具则统一收集，用于分发给有需要的儿童。扶轮社提供的篮球、绘画用品及乐器等物资，有效保障了各项活动的顺利开展
 
The event concluded at 15:30 with a brief closing session, during which participants and volunteers were thanked and the successful completion of the New Year activity was acknowledged
活动于15:30在简短的闭幕环节中圆满结束，主办方向所有参与者与志愿者表示感谢，并宣布新年活动顺利完成
 
Overall, the New Year Concert and Toy Drive were well organized and aligned with Rotary’s mission of community service. By integrating music, play, creativity, and charitable engagement, the event strengthened community connections and provided a positive experience for children, families, and volunteers, reflecting Rotary’s principle of Service Above Self
