In keeping with Rotary International’s enduring commitment to the promotion of public health, the Rotary Club of Hangzhou recently organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Initiative aimed at supporting local medical services and encouraging community participation in lifesaving efforts. This meaningful initiative stands as a strong reflection of Rotary’s core values of compassion, service, and social responsibility.
秉承国际扶轮长期以来致力于推动公共健康事业的坚定承诺，杭州扶轮社近日组织开展了一场无偿献血公益行动，旨在支持本地医疗服务体系，并鼓励社区公众积极参与挽救生命的公益事业。本次意义深远的活动充分体现了扶轮精神所倡导的关爱、服务与社会责任等核心价值
 
The event was successfully planned and led by Alex Boshell and Lingling, (林灵) whose careful coordination was instrumental in ensuring the smooth and safe execution of the initiative. Their efforts brought together Rotary members, community volunteers, and medical professionals in a shared mission to serve the greater good
本次活动由 Alex Boshell 与 Lingling（林灵） 共同策划并组织实施。在他们的周密统筹与细致协调下，献血活动得以安全、顺利、有序地开展。他们的努力成功凝聚了扶轮社社员、社区志愿者以及医务人员，共同投身于服务社会、造福大众的共同使命
 
The blood donation initiative was held at the Hubin Blood Donation Center, located near the iconic West Lake, and received an enthusiastic response from the public. On the day of the event, the donation site welcomed eighty-five caring participants, all motivated by a desire to contribute positively to society. Following professional medical screening, sixty-eight donors successfully completed the blood donation process, resulting in the collection of twenty-three thousand one hundred milliliters of blood, which will play a vital role in supporting local hospitals and emergency medical services
无偿献血活动在位于西湖附近的湖滨献血点举行，得到了社会公众的热烈响应。活动当天，共有八十五位爱心人士到场参与，大家怀着积极回馈社会的初心前来献血。经过专业医护人员的健康筛查，最终六十八位献血者成功完成献血，累计献血量达二万三千一百毫升，为本地医院及应急医疗用血提供了重要保障
 
A particularly inspiring aspect of the initiative was the participation of thirteen international donors representing six different countries. These individuals bravely rolled up their sleeves alongside local participants, demonstrating Rotary’s spirit of international fellowship and global unity. Their involvement powerfully underscored the idea that humanitarian service transcends borders, cultures, and nationalities
本次活动中尤为令人感动的是，来自六个不同国家的十三位国际友人积极参与献血，与本地市民并肩奉献爱心，勇敢挽起衣袖，捐献宝贵血液。这一感人场景生动诠释了扶轮社所倡导的国际友谊与全球团结精神，也有力印证了人道主义服务超越国界、文化与民族
 
Throughout the event, qualified medical staff provided professional guidance and supervision, ensuring that all procedures—including registration, health screening, blood collection, and post-donation care—were conducted in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner. Special attention was given to donor comfort and well-being, reinforcing the high standards of care upheld throughout the initiative
在整个活动过程中，专业医务人员全程提供指导与监督，确保包括登记、健康筛查、采血及献血后关怀在内的各个环节安全、规范、高效进行。活动特别关注献血者的身体状况与舒适体验，充分体现了本次献血行动所坚持的高标准医疗服务与人文关怀
 
This impactful activity not only helped to strengthen local blood reserves but also significantly raised public awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation and the responsibility individuals share in supporting community health.
